Map the product
For a box duvet, number the boxes on a drawing. For a sleeping bag, mark the hood, body and footbox separately. Record the opening through which each section is filled.
Make a fill sheet
List each chamber, its target grams and how many identical chambers the product contains. Add the subtotals and compare them with the target for the whole item before the trial.
Send a representative sample
Provide an empty shell, a sample of the actual fill and the daily production target. Ask the supplier to demonstrate the smallest opening as well as an ordinary chamber, so the trial covers the most difficult part.
